No list of Japanese theme parks would be complete without mentioning Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea. These sister parks, located in Urayasu, are the epitome of enchantment and imagination. - Journey to the Center of the Earth DisneySea us a thrilling steam powered ride that takes guests through mystical landscapes, such as crystal mines, gas clouds, and volcanoes.

- Purchase Disney Resort Ears and Headbands found exclusively in Japan!

Access:

Tickets can be purchased directly on the Tokyo Disney Resort website. If issues persist, try contacting your bank or using an American Express card. Otherwise, Klook is a reputable place to purchase tickets.

Disneyland and DisneySea are about a 5 minute walk from Maihama Station. Get off at Maihama Station on JR (Japan Railway) Keiyo Line / Musashino Line. Maihama Station is about 15 minutes by train from Tokyo Station. Shuttle bus service from various locations to Tokyo Disneyland is also available.

Tickets can be purchased online on the Universal Studios Japan website or through Klook.

You may take the train to Universal City Station. This station is part of the JR Yumesaki Line (Sakurajima Line). The park is a short walk from the station.

3. GHIBLI PARK

Following the success of the Ghibli Museum, Ghibli Park opened in November 2022. Located in the Aichi Prefecture, east of Nagoya, this theme park is sure to capture the heart of Studio Ghibli fans! While there are no thrilling rides or attractions here, guests can wander through immersive environments and reminisce on their beloved films such as My Neighbor Totoro and Howl’s Moving Castle. This park is still expanding, so check for updates! Tickets can be purchased online on the Ghibli Park website about three months in advance.

10. YOKOHAMA COSMOWORLD

In the beautiful city of Yokohama , Cosmoworld is a popular small theme park for families, couples, locals, and visitors! Well known for its giant Ferris wheel that illuminates at night, this theme park also features a thrilling roller coaster and water ride, as well as smaller rides commonly found at fairs. Guests can also participate in popular carnival themed games. Be sure to check our Brano Street Zone for a photo op with cute little Italian themed “houses.” This zone features arcade games and seasonal attractions, such as a haunted house.
